Michigan - a title is required to show legal ownership but NO registration is required for TC's. Insurance is not required either. It's a big deal for us as we have 7 pull behind trailers presently and it save us a bunch! 2 years ago we had 11 pull behind trailers and that would be even worse if yearly registration was required here.
Additionally, all non-motorized trailers (TT's, 5'ers, boat, utility, etc) in Michigan also only have a "one time" low registration/plate fee that's good for as long as you own it.
Commercial use trailers may require yearly registrations depending on the size or usage.
