"Best" is subjective; no one has made the perfect truck yet.
Everyone thinks their brand is best, just like everyone thinks their own wife is pretty. If you think your wife looks good, she does, and as long as you think your truck is best, it is. :W Perception = Reality.
As soon as someone builds a truck guaranteed to go 10yr/200,000mi with zero issues, with not as much as a squeak or rattle, with a bumper-to-bumper warranty that says as much, I'll be first in line.
Yes, I want class 8 durability in a pickup truck...and for the price of what they cost new, that shouldn't be unrealistic!
Without researching the #s, if you want to stay with a SRW truck for that 5er you're going to need to go with a current generation (2013 Ram, 2011+ GM, etc.) to have ample payload.
