I would opt for the Ram, but I have a question. Why are you limiting your truck search to diesels? Your 7,000 lb dry TT will weigh under 10K fully loaded. Used diesel prices are high these days and you really don't need a diesel under 10K lbs. I traded in a 2008 Ram 2500 with CTD with 120K miles and the 68rfe never had any problems. I think It's a good transmission if serviced properly and no tuners. Good luck.
