For your camper the Chevy 6.0 will pull it easily. I like the 6.0 and in a 3500 series platform it will do fine. Granted I would choose the srw verse the dually, just my thoughts. With the 6.0, I serious doubt any issues within 5 years. I have the 09 version and have zero issues. Like others have said, GM really built this engine to be bullet proof. Oh and my previous 02 6.0 had almost 200k hard miles, prior my ownership it was abused pretty bad. I took care of it, only isssue was a cpk sensor and water pump. For 200k and it pulled most of those miles, I guess no reason to complain how that truck held up. I often see lots of that generation of 6.0 with lots of miles running perfect around here. Farmers use them in Florida quite a bit, some choose the diesel route, others go gas, really your wallet and use will dictate what you should get. I pull 10k with my GM 6.0 and have no issues.
