We eat simple foods, but seek out the best ingredients and use good technique.
It looks like you've gotten a wealth of advice, but your comment brought an incident to mind.
Some years ago we attended a charity event that featured tasting plates by notable chefs from the region. At one point, a young woman who I did not recognize circulated through the crowd with a large tray of bite sized pieces of meat. To this day, I think it was the best single bite of meat I have ever had. And, trust me, I know something about meat. She thanked the crowd for all the compliments, and revealed that there was no secret to it. It was merely an excellent piece of goat loin, seasoned with salt and pepper and properly cooked. The young lady, it turned out was Stephanie Izard.
