Who doesn't like long, hot steamy showers ?

Very clever mod! But to be honest, when we are boondocking in some remote place, it is a huge luxury just to have a quick Navy style shower. Any upgrade from a sponge bath is a major victory. DW uses about two gallons for her shower, and I use less than a gallon. (But I have an unfair advantage -- almost no hair on my head.)

If we had to wash a whole crowd of people, the six gallon water heater would be totally inadequate, so I applaud the OP's ingenuity.
