Who install Hensley or Propride

I cannot locate an "installer" for Hensley or Pro Pride hitches near Maryland. Why are they not carried or installed by MOST trailer dealers? What's up?

  • I agree with the others. I have installed my own and both of my son's Hensley hitches. All you have to do is be able to read and follow directions, have a few simple hand tools and an electric drill. It is not hard at all but just takes a bit of time - as any other hitch would, to do it correctly.

The dealers that sell Hensley also do the installations as far as I know. There are not that many that sell the hitch though as it is quite pricy and they would rather easily sell a less expensive hitch along with the trailer.

  • I've installed three myself. They aren't hard to do. If you can use a tape measure and simple hand tools you will be golden.
  • I installed my own and find it to be easy to do and great to understand what it should be. A friend had his also installed by me. you can do it yourself.
