All I need is 4" to 6". That's not "too long" by any stretch of the imagination.

Even if such a short extension derated my hitch by 25% (ridiculous), that still leaves me with 1500lbs tongue weight capacity and 15000lbs of trailer weight capacity. Not "too much tongue weight" by any stretch either.

Heck I could weld something up but I don't trust my work on something where lives could depend on it.
