Who makes reasonably priced, lightweight, non-slide campers?

It used to be Lance but no more. Only two non-slide models and only one for a long bed full size truck?

Doesn't anyone make a long bed sub 2000# camper anymore? (Not talking about pop-ups like 4-Seasons).

  • I have a 1998 Pastime which has held up very well. I think their rep is excellent. Never been a very big operation. The are made in Oregon. Their only outlet nowadays is Apache.
  • adventurer make a liteweight shortbox/longbox non slide in a couple models under 2 k. palomino does as well.

when I purchased my Wolf Creek at apache camping center I asked Ed the guy who did our walk through what he thought was the best built camper they sell and what camper in his opinion was overall best and he said pastime.

  • Pastime still does, but now you can only buy them used or at Apache Camping Center in WA. Good craftmanship. They are only making 200 or so a year.
