I think that the only currently manufactured travel trailer that I have been impressed with is Big Foot and they only make small trailers; I believe. I like the 2 piece shell construction of Big Foot trailers and campers as a way of almost eliminating the likelyhood of water infiltrtion. Silver Streak also comes to mind as a decent manufacture but they are of course out of business.
I have alsways thought an aluminum skin cargo trailer or a large horse trailer would make a better base trailer than all of the curently manufactured travel trailers.
I guess if a trailer is going to be sold for $20K a manufacture has to build it for around $5K to feed the food chain. It seems like a good production engineer could build a better assembly line that could eliminate the vast majority of issues due to sloppy labor. This IS what Henery Ford did, why can't trailer manufactures figure it out?
