Totally disagree with OP. Before buying our first TT 6 years ago, we just went to the local dealer, bought a Keystone passport, and had a year of grief and misery with leaks, axle and brake issues. And, Keystone would NOT stand behind it and replace the axle. For the whole year, the dealership shop had the trailer more than us. The dealership felt so sorry for us that they bought it back (at a loss of course) the following spring.
So, in 2011, we went to shows, looked at at least 8 different manufacturers, and noticed incredible differences in engineering and workmanship. We ended-up buying an Ever-Lite. There is no luan or wood whatsoever in the unit besides cabinets and doors. What an incredibly well made TT it has proven to be. Of course, all manufacturers use the same refrigerators, converters, etc. and there is no difference there, but from my experience, there is an incredible difference between Ever-Lite and Keystone in terms of "the box."
