Heck, they're not even that small, the Colorado with the big gasser is almost exactly a match for a 2004 F150 v8, same power, same curb weight, better transmission, just a few inches narrower. Would people on this forum in the mid 2000's told people with a v8 F150 they can't pull a 2 ton 20' trailer with it?!?
