Part of the issue is, I don't want to drive a 3/4 or 1 ton truck every day to work and back. My 1/2 ton gets better mileage and rides better empty than the HD trucks.
The majority of people put very little mileage on towing their travel trailers, as in 2 or 3 trips a year. Seems silly to buy a 1 ton truck, when a 1/2 will do the job (albeit work abit harder).
