I actually went through this exercise recently. Ford F150 XLT with heavy duty payload package and the max tow package optioned out they way I wanted was $37K, and that's also with the Ecoboost engine which is not inexpensive. The F250 starts at $35K before you add the XLT package, something better then the 5.4, and any other options to make them identical. So much for the "less Money" horse sense. Now whether or not the actual difference in price is significant or not I guess is up to the guy making the purchase. But less money doesn't fly.
