All that we are proving here is that there is no one-size-fits all RV, no perfect RV. Even my Tiger isn't perfect, but it was the best fit for what I needed. Thankfully, in 2006 it didn't cost nearly as much as today's Tigers!
After 15 years of exploring with a 17-foot Toyota-based 4X4 Class C, I knew what I wanted and needed in an RV: I didn't want to shop for both truck and TC, plus my lifestyle doesn't need a truck. I needed a unit under 22 feet long (my Tiger is 19.5 feet) so it would fit in the parking area at my house. I wanted 4WD for desert and USFS dirt roads. I wanted a hard-side non-popup unit. I wanted maximum-sized tanks for maximum time off grid. The RV needed to be able to turn around in tight spaces and to fit between and under and sometimes over obstacles; my Tiger is neither as tall nor as wide as the typical hard-side TC and it has standard 2500HD high clearance and a 23 degree angle of departure.
Each buyer will need to do a personal analysis. Then comes the search for an RV that fits the most items on the list. Then comes the difficult part: trying to locate the RV you chose!
