We bought a new 2013 T@B last summer as a way to introduce ourselves to the RV lifestyle. I bought in to the premise that they were priced higher because they were built by the Amish to a higher standard. I soon discovered that the cabinets were built by the Amish but the rest of the technology and components were standard RV quality with less than average craftsmanship. I also discovered that the premium price (over $16K) is largely due to its uniqueness and nothing else. Everyone thinks they're cute, but at what price ? We soon got tired of one of us always having to "get out of the way" in order to move about and when we looked into alternatives we discovered that we could buy twice the camper for the same money. When we tried to trade in the T@B, we discovered that although listed in the NADA Blue Book, there is no value listed simply due to such small production numbers and no dealer was willing to take it in trade as no bank would write a loan for repurchase without a resale value listed in the NADA. I listed the 9 month old T@B on both LG forums, the Yahoo Forum and Craig's list for $2.5K less than we paid for it. Not a single hit. I dropped the price to $13K,still no interest then $12K and still not a single hit of interest. I ended up getting $10K for it from a dealer (while still owing $11.5K on it) in order to purchase a trailer more suited to our needs. Here's a "popular" trailer that lost 37% of its value in 9 months. Some people simply love the Teardrop mystique, but I found the novelty to be over-rated.
