Why do people have such large trailers?

We looked at a LOT of trailers before we bought. I never really felt comfortable in the smaller ones. I like the idea, just that in practice, I think I'd always be wishing for more room. Late at night when we're watching a movie or someone is trying to sleep in the back, or when it rains, or when the kids take friends along, I wish for even MORE space. I never really felt a need to justify our choice because it suits us. I may go even bigger next time. Right now we're pretty satisfied with the choice we made so probably keep this unit for another few years. Those who are happy with smaller trailers, more power to you! I don't look down at anybody for their camping choice.
