We love our 28+ footer.
Family of 4, and we spent over 200 nights in our 15'TT. Did a 40 night 6k mile trip with it. It had a full bath, and the dinette was our bed.
It's not as hard as it sounds. The only hard times were when bad weather kept us inside (which was a very small percent).
We love our current trailer, but do miss many things about being small. Heck, by most, we're still small.
