I thought the Excursion with the V-10 would be the ideal tow vehicle for a bumper trailer! Guess i am wrong. We are thinking of downsizing from a MH. to a bumper trailer.
The V10 is still used in the cutaway van E450 (not sure how much longer for this platform) and the chassis cab trucks F450-F750.
All our new ambulances have the V-10 (E-450) and are doing really well. Now MPG blows big, big time (4.8 to 5.5) mpg is what I'm seeing across the board on all 9 of them. But they are geared super low and let's just say they get driven hard! But they sure ain't seeing the shop every other week for emissions issues like the last few strokes we had.
Not sure this is even relevant but thought I'd put it out there. I'm sure in the private sector MPG would be better though.
