Why is there a 3 inch hole in the roof of my wolf creek?

Decided to remove my roof antenna on my wolf creek 850 to make room for a cargo roof carrier. Since it only had a coaxel cable running through it I thought the hole could be easily covered with dicor.

Pulled the mount to find about a 3" hole they drilled through the roof. Anyone have an idea why such a large hole would be needed? Any ideas on how to fix this?

I would just cut a round cover plate out of some aluminum and cover it back up. The cover in Dicor.

    +1
  • I have a similar set up but my box DOES cover a bit of the solar. WGAS?!! Some people just look for a reason to jump down your throat these days. What a giant gas bag. That wasn't even part of your question now was it? Good luck with that big ol hole, the one in your roof.

Geeze, your going to cover the solar panels with that giant storage pod? Why not just take the panels off and use that area? Depending on how your parked that box is going to block most of that panel a great deal of the day.

I guess we'll see you but that's my only option right now and I'm not really sure what you mean. The box is not literally blocking the panel and is no higher than my a/c.

Seems to be getting full sun all day today :)
  • Probably plywood precut as this seems to be where the roof vent is located for the bathroom in the 840.

  • i wonder if the idea was they could throw a roof mounted crank up satellite dish on as an option and use the same hole and coax cable.
