If you are not sure you are a truck camper person try renting one for a few nights. There is nothing wrong with the Palomino at the price they are sold. It is not a high end expensive or luxurious camper but it also is not priced like one. I have had three truck campers since 1985 some very well make like the Alaskan pop up that is high end sailboat quality inside as well as a 3000 pound plus 11 foot hard side. It all depends on what you want and what you want to spend as all three were well used by our family and none really gave any troubles. Some cost substantially more than others. All did the job just fine. Should you purchase a truck camper and decide you don't care for it, just remember the depreciation on a new RV is considerable.
