Reminds me of an earlier RV forum experience I had.
I inquired regarding pre-cooling a fiver using a generator while driving to your next destination. Several respondents said it really was not necessary because it only took an hour or two to get things reasonably comfortable. I thank them for their input and said I figured as much.
Immediately afterwards an equal number of people responded that I might be the village idiot because out west you must pre-cool, and adding a generator was a piece of cake. I thanked them for their input and said I guess the right answer is that it depends where you are traveling.
Then I got more critical comments that I just didn't comprehend the valuable advice I had been given.
I can laugh about it now, but I was taken aback at the time.
