Having been on RVNet and Hybrid Explorer for about 8 years, just about the time I think I've heard it all...... Tires seem to generate a lot of less than information posts. How could I have forgotten that, when I posted a question about tires. Note to self: don't do that again. I was eaten alive, when all I wanted was some information.
I love the forums and have learned a lot and made some friends along the way, but.....there is always a but.....some folks seem to feel that the anonymity gives them free reign to be obnoxious and downright hateful and disrespectful and no one will know. I would bet that Member X would not say the same things to Member Y in a face to face discussion that is sometimes posted. There are certainly more ways to answer a question and not convey that thought that the OP is disabled/ignorant/stupid/other. Sometimes it seems like it's a challenge to see who can be the most obnoxious.....MHO, not needed. If you don't understand, just state that you don't understand. If you think the person is way off target and flat-out wrong, just respectfully disagree. No need to make yourself feel superior at others expense. Also no need to make the OP appear to be the dumbest person on the planet. Just my thoughts.
