One thing that used to bug and it seemed to drop off quite a bit were the armchair moderators who would say:
"Moderator, time to shut down this thread"
"I've notified the moderator, I think we need to close this one"
"Yep, time to close this one down"
I mean really, I used to laugh trying to imagine these guys sitting in their recliners and thinking they actually run this forum or trying to vie for the position.
