I believe, at the end of the day, decisions should be based on facts. There's ample enough information to make a rationale, safe, informed decision.s. Only thing I would say, is PLEASE make your decision based on the facts and do the math yourself. Trust your calculations. You're gonna drop 60+grand on the SUV and who knows how much on the Airstream.
If someone has to sprinkle pixie dust on your rig to make it work.. well, I believe that's too close margin wise for me. But, again, you are in the best position to make that decision.
Obviously, the Lincoln Navigator is a very capable vehicle. As are the Yukon's, Escalade etc...Just do yourself the favor of doing the math. Don't do dangerous things such as "I assume I will put all my camping stuff in the TT and behind the axles". That is where you start diverting from facts and making assumptions and allowances that can put you in the danger zone.
If the Navigator is the vehicle you want. Go for it.. Like I did, I bought my truck first. I then had to find a trailer that fit my weight needs. I wanted a Jayco 28+ footer, but decided it was too close margin wise. There's nothing wrong with making the TV choice first. Just make it a wise choice, and understand what you are doing.
