Well there ya go. Exactly what I had hoped. Do the research, calculate your weight, buy the trailer that operates within those parameters and enjoy. Don't need any more than that IMHO.
If you want that hitch, I say go for it. I was hoping you weren't looking for a way to exceed payload etc, which is what I took from your original post, when you said that. "It was recently explained to me how manufacturers payload ratings do not account for any trailer weigh being applied to front axles. With that factored in, assuming we carry most all gear in camper, likely behind TT axles, it seems we are in good shape regarding payload." Payload is payload.. Front axle weight is a component of payload.
I will freely admit that I know nothing about that hitch. Maybe it's the best thing since sliced bread. If so, interesting you can only get it one location, out of the country. But, I guess it is what it is.
Im glad you are going to do your own calculations and research and stay within manufacturers limits. Good for you.
