Many states have unposted maximum speed when towing substantially lower than the posted limit. Check the laws in the states you're towing or extra fuel might not be the only cost you incur.

I'm not sure why you're even asking a question. Put lt tires on and drive as fast as you want. St is "special" trailer. It's pretty much the same as "special" ed and "special" olympics. If I would have looked instead off listening to the forum, I'd have lt tires on my tt. All I read on here said it was nearly impossible to find lt tires for 15" rims. Not if you look at all terrain tires it isn't. They're everywhere in 15".
