To all amateur marriage counselors out there:
Am I the only one that read the O.P.'s account(s) of the two trips taken so far? Even he has to admit that at least the first one was "brutal" in terms of overscheduling/travel.
... 2,167 miles in seven days!
If trip two was anything like that, it seems unsurprising that there's a reluctance to do it again....
To O.P.:
A little less frantic scheduling and a little more relaxing might be a good approach!
Geez, YOU must be the expert! Please spare other intelligent adults your little slap on the forehead gesture. Flat out rude to so severely discount others opinions. The op did solicit advice, did he not?
Okay, so I read the trip account. Big deal. First trip out is often stressful and a big learning experience. So you burn a cold pizza, adapt and laugh about it. For many of us who are not retired and still have kids in school, trips ARE a whirlwind. So what, in the end everyone survived.
Bottom line is the event of camping should not require a trip to a marriage counselor, witch doctor or life coach. If you don't share the enjoyment either go alone or don't go at all.
