Another one that agrees that this is a sad situation. I read your trip report and while it does sound very aggressive, one has to to wonder if this has something to do with your wife's reluctance to ever go again. You are a young couple and have a whole life ahead of you - sounds like some compromise is needed on both sides. And a "come to Jesus" meeting for both of you and try to find some common ground.
With young children, the best gift you can give them is family time and being a camper myself, I think camping is a great way to come together and create those memories - but the discord between you and your wife must be fixed first.
My son and DDIL are just a bit older than you and she did not have much experience camping when they married, now she is the first one to suggest camping trips - I hope that some day this will be true for you as well.
