Everyone has given me some great perspective. I will never get rid of my wife. I love her. I have been sharing all that has been said on here with her. We're not sure what we are going to do yet but it all starts with talking. Thank you every body.
what is needed more than just talking is listening and understanding, but and I stress this it takes two to make a relationship… or a lasting one…
both talking, both listening, and both understanding, and both with tolerance toward the others needs and wants… it’s not always easy, but it is usually worth it…
although aggressive I don’t think the first trip had a lot to do with it… it seems much of the time was spent with the DW family, and there didn’t seem to be a problem with the second trip…

Be prepared to GIVE ALL you have, HONOR her, even if it means totally giving up on the camping. Camping takes money, time and energy and she might even be jealous of that (hence the shopping thing).
I sense there is some resentment that she has from your opening post, some of that may even come from your opening approach of the subject. The problem is though is we simply can not give advice which is foolproof to resolve the issue. It is for that reason you may need a good counselor to help out.
