We do the VERIZON MIFI here to give us a WIFI HOTSPOT for up to five WIFI enabled devices here. Works flawlessly for us. We have the 3GB data plan and does ok for us to check our emails, check-in with kids,pay a few bills, and some surfing of the internet. This is not good to downstream TV or MOVIEs however as one movie will easily eat up over 1GB in a couple of hours. You will need a minimum of 20GB DATA PLAN to watch TV and MOVIES. I have extended the MIFI connection big time using one of the WILSON SLEEK cradles where you just sit the MIFI unit into to it. This has outside antenna and extends the WIFI footprint all around our camp site setup.
If we walk on trails or down to beaches we just carry the MIFI unit with us in shirt pocket and carry our small computers or tablets.
We have done well over the years using the VERIZON for our off-road camping. Learned from my working days that VERIZON was the best carrier for the way back off the beaten path locations. Very few times we have not had cell phone service...
