I have a Montana 35' fifth wheel. I am pulling with a 2011 Ford F250 diesel. I was curious about the weights and weighed the unit. Bad move. Rear axle is overweight. Might be looking for a dually. Here are the weights.
Truck gvw 10000
Front axle 4940
Rear axle 7140
Truck with rv attached 12080
Truck and rv gross 22960
The rear axle is over by 1040 lbs. The truck is over by 2080 lbs. I am approximating the pin weight to be at 2750 lbs. The total weight is under the towing capacity listed by ford. However the truck is overloaded. Do not believe towing capacities unless you weigh your rig.
