Really dumb question. I am wondering if a magnet would stick to fiberglass? I am looking to get some dripedge, and put a magnet behind it and stick this on the bottom of each side of my slide.. To prevent water from going up underneath the slide when it rains. I can not perminetly install this as there is no room at all to pull the slide in with a bottom drip edge.. so i wanted to design one that i can add and remove at will... any ideas? this possible?

Only if there's metal or another magnet on the other side. Is that what you said?

What kind of drip edge? Could you run some heavy string over the top of the slide so it hangs like a sling? Maybe a spring on one end to keep it taught but be easily removable?

Works great , but the gorilla tape is waterproof. I was out there tonight messing around with some vinyl siding trim pieces and am working on a permanent solution.

Thats actually a good idea...cheap and easy.. and wont leave a lasting mark.. I wonder if the water would drip right off it...worth a try.... good idea.

Paul, what are you doing with the gorilla tape? under your wood? or using it to hold a drip edge?

I am temporarily using a piece of gorilla tape for the same purpose till a more permanent solution can be "engineered". It is actually working quite well.

Thought about Velcro and some eizenglass strips, but will probably be going with the trimmed lower edge of a piece of vinyl siding secured with a few screw and a quality urethane adhesive.
