could try it...probably wait till it rains, and see how the water comes down... i think that slide topper extending out a couple inches keeps most of the sides dry for the most part... plus the slide when open will be under a tree... so might not really get that wet anyways and i might be able to just get away with extra darco tape.. the wood on the slide bottom is supposdly cheap osb but has a waterproof material on bottom and sides and primetime adds darco tape on the sides just as an extra layer of precaution..not losing sleep...
