I'm glad you mentioned winch sizing. I was going to buy a 15Klb model but with your sizing rule of thumb in mind, I'm going to need a 16.5Klb winch for my beast.
My front axle weighs 5,040 lbs with the camper on and passengers seated. The GAWR for my front axle is 6,000 lbs so I have plenty of capacity to mount a good winch bumper.
The Warn winch bumpers look good, but it doesn't look like they have anything for the 2013 Rams yet. At least that's what their webpage says. Warn Application Guide
