I bought one for my last truck camper and was very satisfied with it. First, they are designed to trickle charge your batteries, not give you a full blown (ha ha) charge like a charger or a solar panel. Second, the one I bought was very inexpensive and it performed well for my needs. i didn't buy it to run a microwave or air conditioner. Its intended purpose was to trickle charge my batteries while I was boon docking. I also made a very simple connection with wing nuts and studs and mounted it at the top of my ladder. Then I installed a negative and positive set of water proof quick plug connectors and ran the wires down the vent opening on the roof at my refrigerator then under the seat of my dinette and into the battery box. Worked just fine for the small amount of money I paid for it. Maybe about $275.00. I sold the truck camper and the new owner asked me to sell him the wind generator. He is satisfied with it as well. It is a great backup to solar for people that boon dock.
