Try Yakima Sportsman State Park.
If you are coming via Ellensburg to go south to Yakima. Keep going into Ellensburg and go south along the old canyon road. There are about 4 or more blm or nfs campgrounds along the road right on the Yakima river and if you keep heading south, it takes you toward Yakima. It's one of the prettiest drives around and well worth taking just to take.
