We live in WY. It gets cold up here. We only blow out our lines. Never use the pink stuff except for p traps. We have a washer so we pour in a half galon and spin it out. Never a problem. The lowest temp I see in Monterey was 20 degrees back in 1990. Does it normally freeze close to the ocean? I never worried about those temps in So Ca because it warmed up during the day.
