Sommer, we've had our Roo for 7 years now and we've NEVER had to winterize. with you living on the coast, you should have less of a reason to winterize.
what we call "hard freezes" are nothing like what other call it. we on the West Coast have NOTHING like what other areas of the country call "hard freezes".
we may get down overnite in the low 30's for a day or two but it starts warming up in the morning. i've been in Napa for 11 years now and have only seen overnite temps in the 20's a handful of times.
winterizing is for areas that DON'T warm up above freezing all day or for extended periods of freezing.
personally, i've never seen a West Coast hybrid owner on any forum, that winterizes, unless they live in the Sierras or Cascades.
if you still feel concerned, blowing out the lines would be sufficient.
