winterizing-leave fresh water tank open or closed?

I like to open it and drain, then go for a drive up hill and down, usually a lot more will come out. If you have an idea of where the tank drain comes out, try and park so that point will be higher than the bottom of the tank so any left over water will not be in that small drain hole.
