Exactly. Regardless of how cold an area gets, a thorough job of blowing out lines, emptying the hot water heater and putting antifreeze in the pee traps is just as effective for winterizing. You just have to be careful to do it thoroughly. Never once used the pink stuff and never yet had an issue. On my second TT.
air certainly will work IF YOU GET EVERY DROP OF WATER OUT and don't let any settle back into low spots. since it takes about 1 1/2 gallons to winterize properly, that is cheap insurance IMHO.
