Second, never put antifreeze for winterizing. Unless it is made for campers. There is this pink stuff that might be called antifreeze but its safe for people. If he got a 2014 tt just pay the small fee to have it done or buy the parts and do it while enjoying a case of beer.
Don't know how cold it gets in NY. In Wyoming where it get pretty chilly we just blow out the lines with air and rv anti freeze in the traps. Of course never have seen it more than 50 below zero except for wind chill. :B
