- Matts6foot8ExplorerThanks for the info! I will do something very similar.
- Hobbes525ExplorerWe upgraded to a travel trailer from a Pop-UP this year. It did not come with a factory installed camera and I didn't want to pay the $600 parts and labor cost to get one installed by the dealer.
I purchased this kit:

I mounted on the roof along the back edge. It has tilt adjustment. I have mine angled so I can see out the back like a review mirror. I can angle it down if I want to see more immediately behind the camper for backing up.
Its not wireless but I ran power and video along the bottom of the camper and the cables coming up the back corner of the camper to the roof. Used some cable channel painted to match the trim so it blends in. I mounted the camera on a gang box that is sealed to house the connections. Power is connected to a toggle switch running off the battery.
I ran extra video cord that is zip tied to the main power cable that connects to the truck. I then run a video cable from my dash to the back of truck, tucking the cable into the inter trim panels.
I can send pics if interested but I was all in for less then $100 and an afternoon to get everything installed. Bonus for not having to put holes in the camper. :)
It definitely helps. - Matts6foot8ExplorerWith my stock mirrors I can see along side my vehicle and the trailer,it's the blind spot directly behind the trailer and Beyond that I was curious about if anyone had any luck with a wireless camera. Even a license plate camera mounted up high?
- mobeewanExplorerHow about side mounted cameras?
rearviewsafety.com backup camera system with 2 side mounted cameras.
Side mounted cameras can be mounted flush or with brackets. - tdcolbyExplorer

Anyone had any luck with a wireless camera on the rear of tt? Can it eleminate wide mirrors? Any suggestions?
No, mirrors are still necessary to see what's alongside you and your trailer. A rear camera will only replace the function of your rear view mirror and help with backing.
I also have the Furrion and like it.
Tom - Swell1ExplorerI have the furrion observation wireless camera on mine. Works great. can see traffic coming up along side you and what's behind you. I would recommend having one.
- jerryjay11ExplorerA rear camera is good to ensure you don't back into anything, but the mirrors are needed for driving more than backing. Such as lane changes, watching for traffic pulling around you, and then less often for aligning while backing. The use of a rear camera with your wide mirrors are a great combination since a rear camera can not watch the sides of your TT. I use both my mirrors and camera on my truck when backing. With the TT my wife substitutes for a back-up camera.
