I've seen folks at some of the CG's use a drill to lower the jacks rather than hand crank. What kind of wireless drill am I looking for. I went to a tool place this afternoon and they wanted to sell me something for $299.
Sue - if the threads on the screw part of the jacks are properly lubricated then the hand crank is actually quite easy to use, and can be kept as a reserve if the drill you are contemplating fails for any reason.
As for the drill - you need a cordless battery powered drill for this job. I'd suggest 18V or better and impact is not required. Impact drills have a hammer effect that is unnecessary for this function, especially if, as mentioned before, the screw on the jack is properly lubricated. That said, the cost should drop dramatically from $299. I would not pay more than $30 for a drill for this function. I'd rather use the hand crank otherwise.
