A girl's gotta get her nails done when she goes on vacation!
So far, so good!
BTW, according to CAT scales, our rig weighs a total of 12,080 lbs. 5,280 lbs is on the trailer axles, 6,800 on the truck, so I'm well within limits. This is with 5 of us onboard, clothes, food, bedding, lawn chairs, etc. We didn't load bikes, firewood, or water, but looks like we could have.
The Ecoboost pulled great, and for the first 180 mile leg, mileage was 10.3, both by the truck's computer and by the old-time pocket calculator method. Terrain was gentle, winds were light, and speeds were 55-60, so that's not great mileage, but isn't bad either.
