Many of us were right at the limit or slightly over with a SRW. I wanted more of a margin, so I added 19.5s when I still needed a SRW for a daily driver. I have to say that the DRW helps a lot, and I'm not as careful about bringing heavier items. DW says it rides a lot better. I think you can notice more in the passenger seat. :) 19.5s are an option later if you want to add a safety margin. Do make sure you keep an eye on the tire pressure for both front and rear. I don't know what you are running now, but hopefully, 80 in the rear and at least 65 in the front.
Also, keeping your grey/black tanks empty while driving will probably help. My SRW drove significantly different with significant volume in grey/black tanks.
As far as imperfections go in build quality goes, I read that about very expensive coaches as well. It's just the nature of the beast that we have no control if the person who works on our RV skips a step or not. If you think about it, most houses have the same types of nit issues.
