I drove the Burr Trail a couple years ago with a 1 ton dually, arctic fox 990. I didn't have any trouble on the main trail. it was a beautiful drive!
I don't know what the wolverine loop is specifically, but I did notice that some of the side spurs looked pretty sandy, and I wouldn't have taken my rig down them.
some of the roads could still be pretty muddy in april. even if it sounds safe, they recommend checking in with the rangers for current road conditions before heading out.
