Thank you everybody for responding to my post.
ColorRockiesFan: I think you're making the right decision to go with a truck camper, you won't regret it. I "downsized" from a 5th wheel to a camper and will never go back to a 5th wheel. For me, it is a total different experience. With a camper, you can be very adventurous, in a 5th wheel or trailer, you always have to worry about your route and finding a spot that is big enough for your rig.
Mytaco: I total agree. What could go wrong with 4 dogs onboard?
Sue.t: Loved your funny post. Inspiring.
Phyllis: I agree with you. The camper gives you this amazing freedom while still having all the comfort needed. I simply love it!
Rutzbeck: I feel the same way as you. I have only one dog but since I train him for law enforcement work I know that if someone decides to bother me he/she would not have a chance to escape without getting in real trouble. That's why my husband lets me travel solo.
Tony Lee - Fantastic picture! Love those European campers!
I posted this topic to have a feel of how many women uses truck campers. I met a lot of women using Class C motorhome. I'm wondering if women owning a truck camper takes more adventurous trip than the ones who own a Class C. For example, last week I took my camper on a 20 miles off road to a steep mountain which I would never done with my 5th wheel.
I understand we live in a strange world especially with the internet and respect people who are not comfortable participating in this topic.
Anyhow, I hope to meet some of you, ladies, at one of the truck campers get-together on the West Coast…. haven't found one yet...
Safe travels,
