I was married for many years before my husband passed. We had a farm, he raised cattle and pigs and I raised horses. He cut hay, I cut the yard. One year after badgering him for weeks about needing to cut hay for horses he replied "when I finish cutting for the cattle, I will cut for the horses". Ticked me off so I went out and bought my own hay equipment and have been cutting, raking and baling my own hay since. When he said we needed to pay someone to help him come in and cut the piglets, I grabbed one up, castrated it and finished with the whole litter. When I asked him to go camping with me, he said he did enough of that when he was in the army. So, I went out and bought a TT and my sister and I traveled all over the US and Canada. Point is, don't tell me I can't do something just because I am a woman!!! I have since owned two TT, two pop-ups, have flown all over the US and bought tents at WalMart, rented a vehicle and headed for the backwoods.
Although I like the TT I now have a hankering for a TC because I want to be able to get as far away from the Class A Glampers as possible. And, I really want to pull my UTV or 2 horse bumper trailer so I can really see some back country. I have no fears about going alone or with other women. I certainly am not so stupid as to believe I am invincible but, if I can castrate a pig with a pocket knife, think what I could do with the machete I keep inside the camper :) !! I still need to do a lot of research before switching to a TC but have no qualms about being able to load it on the truck or handle the loaded vehicle. Set me straight if you think I am nuts.
I like your attitude... you remind me of my mother... and she raised me to be independent and have a can do attitude. What a wonderful woman.
Janet and I hope to see you on the road someday...
