Would you purchase an exstended warrranty for a new truck?

I usually don't buy these plans, but I did when I purchased my '13 PSD. I purchased through my credit union on the advice of a Ford service manager. I paid a little over 1k for 100k miles of bumper to bumper coverage. With the cost of repairs on these new diesels, it was cheap piece of mind even if I never use it, which I haven't so far. 68k miles so far, no issues and loving my truck!
